Bob Marcucci is a graduate of Drake High School, where he played football and baseball. He later recieved his AS degree from College of Marin before attending California State University Hayward where he completed his Masters in Public Administration. 

Bob worked at the San Rafael Fire Department for more than 43 years. He was appointed its Fire Chief from 1971 to 2003. In this time, he was awarded the Fire Chief of the Year (2000) by the California Fire Chief's Association. After retiring in 2003, he established Marcucci Fire Service Consulting. 

Bob is a member of the San Rafael Rotary Club, a memeber of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Manor Corporation, is part of the Marin Forum, the California Fire Chief's Association, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
