Mr. Joe Ayoob was born on August 15, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Joe attended Clemson University on a basketball scholarship in 1963 and graduated with a BA degree in 1968.  He was a three-year letterman and captain of the 17-8 team in 1966-67.  Joe was also the head high school basketball coach from 1968-1972 in Charleston, South Carolina. Joe then began his banking career 1972 in Los Angeles, before moving to Marin County in 1992 where he began working at several community banks. He eventually retired as the Senior Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in 2010.  Joe was married in 1980 to Marie Castillo. Their daughter, Susan,  graduated from Marin Catholic in 1999. Susan received her BA from UC Santa Cruz and received her MA from the Monterrey Institute of International Studies in 2007. Their son Joe Jr. graduated from Terra Linda in 2002, spent two years at CCSF and was awarded a football scholarship to UC Berkeley where he received his BA in 2008.
